Recommeded Pubs in Cork

An Bodhran
42 Oliver Plunkett St.
If its traditional Irish music and nice pints of Guinness, this is the pub with its stained glass window depicting Irish monks playing instruments.

Maguires
Daunt Square
Grand Parade
Just off Patrick Street, a kind of Edwardian bar, with vintage bicycles and unicyles and loads of brass fittings. Well worth a visit for a nice pint.

Mutton Lane Inn
3 Mutton Lane
Off Patrick Street
Old world style with lanterns, exposed beam ceilings and antique cash register. Opened as a public house in 1787, and whiskey was distilled on the premises. Lovely for an enjoyable cool pint.

An Spailpin Fanac
(The Loft)
28/29 South Main Street
More traditional music and craic in this lively pub, just opposite Beamishs brewery, and it is one of Corks oldest pubs, with open fireplaces and an authentic snug. Tempt yourself into having a nice pint here.

Henchys
40 St. Lukes
Up the steep Summerhill Road, which is a continuation of McCurtain Street, This pub has not changed one bit since 1884 and is a real gem. Another pint would be in order here.

Le Chateau
Lots of alcoves covered in Cork memorabilia, a pub with real character and considered one of the first public houses in Cork, this pub would make you stay for more than one pint.
