Loads of bars and restaurants are springing up around North Main Street. The most recent opening was that of Le Cheile, where the staff are great, delightful decorations, and a quiet music policy, make this an must stop-off point for anybody who would like a cold beverage of the non alcoholic or alchoholic kind. Lively debate and conversation in a modern setting fit for Cork City. In the same way, the recently refurbished Raven Bar has given this old part of town a continental flavour with its European coffees and exciting cocktails.

For those interested in local beers, Corks tradition for brewing goes way back. The legendary Beamish and Crawford brewery is situated on South Main Street and across the road is the Oval bar, famous for its great atmosphere, and if the bar runs out of stout, the staff can always run across the road and pick up a barrell or two of stout.

The Franciscan Well is a micro brewery on the North Mall and has brewed a lovely stout by the name of, Shandon Stout and is creamy smooth with a nice kick in the tail.
The Vineyard with its latino music and late bar licence, will keep you hopping and dancing into the early hours of the next day.

Fred Zepplins bar is more for the rocker. The Lobby bar is one of Corks best live music venues and customers can enjoy trad, folk and country while overlooking the River Lee just out the door. The Exchange on Georges Quay is a great spot for a glass of wine and has an extensive cellar to choose from and DJ’s play music at night. Loafers bar has bingo on Tuesday nights and all proceeds are for charity. You will not go thirsty in this great City of character.

Known as the Party city of the South. Cork is dissected into 3 by the river Lee, - A northside, southside, while the centre of the city lies on an island in between the north and south. The University makes Cork a great city full of youth and vibrancy.
